Daily Kotor Walking Tour

Discover the best of Kotor’s history, architecture, and heritage with this daily one-hour walking tour through the old town!

This tour showcases Kotor’s most significant sites while offering local insight into Montenegrin history, culture, and traditions.

Kotor Old town is a marvellously preserved medieval city and UNESCO World Heritage site. The fortified city is located in the heart of Kotor Bay, nestled between sparkling waters and rugged mountains. One of the few Mediterranean towns that remain fortified, Kotor’s walls stretch 4.5 km long and rise from the shore to the San Giovanni fortress atop St. John’s hill.

A local and licensed tour guide will lead you into the Old Town through the most central of three historic gates. From there, they will escort you through the Old Town, introducing you to Kotor’s history and heritage along the way.

This tour covers all of the major architectural and historic landmarks in Kotor, including the Square of Arms, Clock Tower, and Old Town Hall. Visit the town’s many palaces, designed in ornate Renaissance and Baroque styles, some rebuilt after the great earthquake of 1667. Other architectural marvels include Kotor’s many Orthodox and Christian churches, each unique in historic significance and appearance.
