This private tour package combines the most important historic and cultural sites in Montenegro with local hospitality. It is ideal for travellers who want to dig deeper and understand the bigger picture.

After settling in on the first day, the touring begins! Receive a warm welcome to Montenegro with an exciting tour of Kotor and Boka Bay. This tour combines popular sites like Our Lady of the Rocks and Perast with a tour of Kotor. The day also includes a visit to the Roman mosaics of Risan and a traditional house in Grahovo village plus lunch hosted by locals at their family farm.

Drive and walk to the peak of Lovcen Park, the Njegos Mausoleum and stunning views await. Sightseeing is combined with a visit to the oldest restaurant in Montenegro as well as a tour of their smokehouse. Complete the day with a tour of Cetinje, the Old Royal Capital of Montenegro, rich in historic and architectural wonders.

A full day will be dedicated to touring Skadar Lake National Park, with the option of taking a boat ride or kayaking across the lake. The day includes a visit to Pavlova Strana viewpoint for incredible panoramic views, plus an optional stop at Jaz beach for swimming (seasonal).

Spend a thrilling day rafting the Tara River Canyon, Europe’s deepest. Licensed guides will ensure your safety over the rapids and take stops at beautiful spots like waterfalls and swimming holes.

Another day is dedicated to exploring the majestic wilds of Durmitor National Park. Enjoy gentle hikes, lakeside walks, and optional zip lining from Tara River Bridge.

The last day will be spent in Biogradska Gora National Park, one of Montenegro’s most treasured natural wonders.

15:00 – 16:30 – 19:00  Drive back to Kotor (photo stop above Budva on the way back—optional stop at Jaz beach for swimming depending on the season).

10:30 – 12:00 – Breakfast by the river, preparations for rafting (providing all the participants with life jackets, helmets, waterproof clothes and shoes)

12:00–12:30  Drive to the rafting starting point with off-road vehicles

12:30-16:00 – Raft down the most attractive rapids on the Tara River, with stops on the most appropriate and beautiful spots (time for swimming, enjoyment and photos of waterfalls, etc.)

16:00 – Arrival at Šćepan Polje (end of rafting tour), lunch at a local restaurant

17:30 – Departure through the heart of Durmitor national park, photo stops, arrival in Zabljak

When is the best time to visit Montenegro?

The best time to visit Montenegro is between April and early June, and again from the end August to November. These months are known to be not to crowded and still with high probability of very nice weather.
It still depends on type of activities you are looking for and which region you want to visit.
July and August are quite hot and busy, but this is period when you can enjoy water activities like speedboats, yachts, sailing tours on the shore, and hiking trips in the north of Montenegro where the weather is approx. 10 degrees cooler than on the coastline.
Winter is still good time of year to visit if you are looking for sightseeing tours or hiking trips on the mountains along the coastline.

What currency is in use in Montenegro?

The official currency of Montenegro is the Euro.

When it comes to major tourist towns and attractions it is easy to use credit card as a payment op-tion, as all restaurants, museums and shops will have option of electronic payment.

If you are travelling to National Parks or small villages it is useful to have some euros with you since credit card payment is not likely to be an option.

In case that you are looking for multiple day trip, we recommend having a call first in order to discuss your preferences before setting up perfect plan which suits you best.

Are tours entirely private?

All of our tours are designed in the way that you are our only client. And in case of the multiple day trips, we have our guide being with you entire time, unlike what could be practise of most of the other companies as just having a driver and different guides in various locations.

What is regular pick-up location?

Since our tours are private, we always pick up our clients at most convenient location (port, hotels, airports).
Pick up location depends on tour, it can be at the airport in case of multiple day trips, for day trips it is normally ether in front of port or at your hotel’s reception. Our guide will be holding a signboard with your name on it while waiting for you.
